Get Ready for the Paarl Adventure Festival 2026!

The Paarl Adventure Festival is coming to Paarl this Heritage Day long weekend, from 24 to 27 September 2026. Hosted at the scenic Spice Route Destination, this four-day celebration of outdoor fun, active lifestyles, and community spirit brings together expert-led events for all disciplines and ages .

Whether you are looking to race, explore new routes, or enjoy the vibrant festive atmosphere, this event is not to be missed!

Festival Highlights by Day

Thursday, 24th September: Kick off the weekend with the Specialized Paarl Gravel Ride, featuring guided social 30km and 60km routes. Runners can take on the PaarlBerg trail run (5km, 10km, or 20km) in partnership with Run the Vines. Fijnland Horseback Outrides, Pump Track Adventures, and kids’ activities are also available.
Friday, 25th September: Enjoy scenic guided PaarlBerg Hikes, join the chilled 10km/20km Paarl Trails Night Ride under the stars, or fuel up at the Pasta Party.
Saturday, 26th September: Lace up for the historic Paarlberg Half Marathon, first established in 1935 and second in age only to the Comrades Marathon. Cyclists can join the guided Cabal Road Ride (40km or 80km). The day also features the Fijnland Horseback Adventure Ride, a Kids MTB Guided Outride (1.5km or 3km), Downhill Shuttle Day, and the CBC Beer Festival .
Sunday, 27th September: Experience adrenaline-filled action at the Western Cape Downhill Event, hailed as one of the best downhill tracks in Africa. XC riders can tackle the Paarl MTB Challenge and E-MTB Challenge, showcasing local custom single-track favorites like Pinecone, The Wall, Superbowl, and Diamant .

Celebrating with a Purpose

The festival directly supports the Hero Legacy Project, a local non-profit dedicated to uplifting communities through the Trail Warrior Program. This team builds and maintains the trail network we love. All proceeds from the Adventure Expo stand sales will be donated to this meaningful project.
