Hawequas Scout Adventure Centre

The 230 hectare Hawequas Scout Adventure Centre is located in the foothills of the Limietberg mountains just outside Wellington, below Du Toit’s Kloof. The site is only a one hour’s drive from Cape Town. Hawequas campsite is being developed as the flagship outdoor adventure activity and environmental education centre for youth in the Western Cape.

Natural beauty abounds on the property, 95% of which is comprised of undisturbed fynbos of exceptionally high biodiversity conservation value in the Cape Floristic Plant Kingdom. The farm is an important water catchment area and an area of transition from lowland to mountain fynbos. The farm also forms part of an important buffer zone for the neighbouring Limietberg Nature Reserve managed by Cape Nature.
